Haljoe Coach “Get Off the Bus Concerts”

Presents The Jim Cuddy Band

PARRY SOUND, ONTARIO - In support of The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation, Haljoe Coach “Get Off the Bus Concerts" presents, The Jim Cuddy Band. On December 9, 2011 at 8 p.m. join us at the Charles W. Stockey Centre for Performing Arts for an evening with The Jim Cuddy Band as he promotes his new solo album, Skyscraper Soul.

In the spring of 2010, following extensive Blue Rodeo touring, Jim Cuddy began to write music to accompany his wife Rena's comedic short film "Four Sisters." It turned out that some of what he'd written didn't fit the film but on a creative roll, he continued writing. Before long, he had the kind of material he felt could make up his third solo album.

"Jim Cuddy was approached by Joe Bamford, owner of Haljoe Coach, and asked if he would be willing to 'get off the bus' to do a show in celebration of  both Joe's 65th birthday and his 20 year anniversary with his wife, Fatima, as well as to help raise much needed funds for the West Parry Health Centre Foundation," says Jenn Marr, PR Consultant for Haljoe Coach Get Off The Bus Concerts. "He was very happy to help out."

"If this show is in anticipation of Joe's retirement, that's just not going to happen," says Cuddy. "He has been threatening to retire as long as I have known him. Let's have a fun 65th birthday and 20th anniversary party. Both good reasons to celebrate."

Tickets are $79 and can be purchased at the Charles W. Stockey Centre box office by calling 1-877-746-4466.

Proceeds from all of the Haljoe Coach “Get Off the Bus Concerts” will be donated to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. (www.wpshcf.com/contact_us.html)
